Master Data Management
Master Data Management (MDM) is the process of consolidating enterprise master data from multiple systems across the enterprise. The main goal of MDM is to support the business by validating, cleansing and providing unified and consistent master data.
Typically, master data includes business critical information about the customers, products, locations and accounts.
Implementing an MDM solution offers the following advantages:
- Consolidate and unify data from legacy systems
- Manage common data independently (outside source systems) and use it in business processes
- Trigger business processes that start after the data changes
